Was anyone at the San Antonio Z Convention?
About two weeks ago? I have been told that a 350Z was present, and was dyno'd there. They quoted me the wheel hp, and I was curious to see whether anyone was there to verify the number I have (which I'd rather not release b/c I don't like disseminating rumors). Let's just say that I was quite frankly suprised at the wheel hp stat that was given to me.
I have tons of photos...everything from people breaking a handle to Mr. K accidentially curbing the Daytona blue car...but no Dyno dude. Of the 100 guys or so on twinturbo.net that were there I never heard it mentioned and never saw anything about it. You'd think we'd have heard...
I'd be shocked if they allowed it to dyno as it wasn't even a final production car. Talk about a risk.

Of course, the changes may have been minimal, but it was NOT a car that rolled off the assembly line in Japan.
Seedy:
I don't know if this was the same meet or not, but an individual informed me that the Z supposedly dynoed at 283whp... and this individual did not know what the Z was rated at, but knew the range of what the Z's hp was supposed to be. He obviously acknowledged that the motor was underrated, but I still wasn't sure if it's true.
Like I said, I don't like to disseminate rumors...
