if there is one thing i hated most in this world....its the rattles.
i took it back to the dealer last fall to get my dash rattle fixed....no rattles so far. The tech who worked on my Z specialized in fixing rattles i guess....so it all depends on who worked on it.

Yeah, Straight from the dealer My Z had a trunk rattle, I hope this isn’t a common problem because I hate rattles with a passion

no rattles, here, and i had a 15" lanzar in the back of my last Z. I would check the latch for the hatch, then the plastic that is on the hatch and see if it is rubbing. dynomat isnt a bad idea but the are plenty of other cheaper alternative to dynomat. i used flatmat in my integra and it was a lot cheaper.

heh, me too. Turned out they left the wheel lock loose in the spare compartment. No rattles to speak of now, 'course it'll be a couple weeks before I can get to the front of the list for a sound system install. Hopefully that won't find/create new ones.

Anyone ever heard of taking the latch and lowering it so you have to slam the hatch harder to close it but it give a tighter seal? Anyone tried it?

I've tried moving the lower latch around to eliminate my hatch rattle, no luck yet. It sucks because you have to remove the weather stripping, plastic panel, move the latch, drive around and then go back and do it all again if you hear the rattle. I usally do it once a week, don't have that much patience.

Ok, just dynomated my whole trunk with dymanat extreme, costs me like 75 bucks. Overall, the application is very simple, just peel off and stick on, and the application is very light. Seems to absorb some of the overall exterior ground and makes your car a little bit quietier. I put a square piece and stuck it on the back of my rear view mirror as well. Its ugly as hell, from a outside front view, but guess what, my mirror doesnt rattle anymore. Overall, I give this product, a 7/10.
