I contacted a dealership yesterday to ask them, “if a used 350Z will be covered under warranty if the ownership is transferred”. The lady said yes but she wasn’t 100% sure, can anybody confirm this for me, from their experience.

Also, I’m in Canada, if I purchased an American car will that effect the Warranty? Have any Canadians bought an American car and had Warranty issues?

I know I assumed the extended warranty on my car. Besides the miles on it, that's why I paid so much.

 

do a search... this was addressed not too long ago but here goes...

standard warranty transferrable owner to owner, no paperwork.
extended warranty transferrable within 30 days of purchase, paperwork must be signed by seller and buyer plus 50dollar fee...

international purchases are normally not covered by any warranty but contact your local nissan dealer if they will honor it...

 

I beleive if you get the Nissan Extended Warrenty you don't have to pay the $50 to transfer it or the paperwork, atleast thats what the nissan manager told me.. <shrug>

the certified pre-owned warranty is not transferable. But I would assume it can be certified if sold used for a second time at a nissan dealership.

 

always read the actual contract, whatever the manager said is worthless unless it's on a signed piece of paper...

I had to pay 50 bucks....
