You're gonna get some heat with posts that indicate you're waiting on mom&dad's success so that you can have a nice car. That was why I suggested you keep that background to yourself. It's for your own good. It is of course up to you though.

I can drive a manual though, I've just not driven one with synchros; which is why I was asking the question.
I'll omit the hater posts and praise the positive one.
Thanks for the help, and you anwsered my question; as soon as I get a z I'll post it up
I figured I'd get a manual because the 350z is really a sports car, but unfortunately my knowledge on manuals is scarce so I came here where people know what they are talking about

Shifting techniques...Google is your best friend. Type in Manual Shifting Tutorial. You should get some good links. I've gotten really good at it but I learned in a civic before that. But it has been years since I've used manual when I got my Z. I still had a good grasp of it but had a hard time getting that catch point on the clutch. I've learned how to powershift. I'm now trying to learn heal and toe techniques. I should be pretty decent by the time summer comes. Good luck and I hope you get that car. But don't take that car for granted because it was given to you. Take care of it and take care of yourself when driving it. Later.
Welcome to the site. If you get that car you better appreciate it. I had to pay for every car I've ever owned and the Z is my 4th car (and first performance car). So, treat her like a lady,

The best thing is for you to just get behind the wheel of a Z and go for it.
Alot of folks, even though they've had plenty experience with manual cars, still had to adapt to their Z's when they took ownership. I stalled a couple times, but after a few days you're connected.

So if I wanted to go from 2nd to 3rd I would have had to clutch in for nuetral, then clutch again for third... Now I understand that basicly all newer cars (like in the last 10 years) have synchros that eliminate the "double-cluthing". Does that mean I can be in 2nd gear, push down the clutch and just throw it directly in third gear and so on?
