For a recreation I would be acting it out, so I consider it more along the lines of quoting.

Thanks Camero, that is the kind of info I want/need.

I admittidly know jack about power shifting (thanks for the heads up on the term) and this kind of responce really helps....

If someone shouldn't do something it would be nice if it was explained why not...that's what this forum is for....right?

No, not all noob questions get slamed.

Your’s where… above average

As a general rule, it’s not good to force anything. Read your owner manual, it gives plenty of info on these subjects.

I guess you have never seen Billy Madison. What I did is called a JOKE. Now stop your whining, wipe away the tears and get on with life.

Again, the above part about whining etc... is another joke, just thought I would point it out just in case.

Don't listen to them, they are just being ignorant. Yea speedshifting is probably not good for your car because it just catches the rpm and puts stress on your tranny, IMO.

Theres a reason why we have a clutch pedal in the first place. Make use of it.

Sometimes, I pull it out of gear (with out the clutch) when there's no resistance. I'm not even sure if that's cool.
If it IS ok to speed shift...does anyone have any tips?
This technique is very similar to those used in drag racing. For racing it makes sense. On the street, no.

dang there sure are a lot of jerks that own Zs...

whatever happened to if you've got nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all.

sure misterite has some spelling errors and he might be doing something thats not practical, but hes just asking a freaking question.
