I never understood the "knee cushion" thing in the 04.5 models and up. Any1 explain?

I don't remember the Kenwood part # right off, but it connects to the CD changer input in the back of the Kenwood head unit.

+1 haha. My knees meet the pad, but I can't move them to the right enough to touch. The sides of the bucket seats restrict that. I guess my knees have to be 6 inches wider =P

im like 5'8" or so, so im pretty short. On a road trip there were like 0 cars on the and i had been driving for 12 hrs... i hit cruise control and went over and sat in the passenger seat to get comfortable i used the knee pads over there more then i did over on the drivers side. haha

haha yeah i was cruising at like 68mph on a wire open road (CA-92) its like a 72 mile road and its STRAIT without any turns at all, no bends no nothing. i was bored... took my shoes off and sat in the passenger side and reach over to steer... yeah i know its stupid but 12 strait hours does that to u.. haha

Knee pads may be a misnomer, but they do provide a nice cusion for some part of your leg, especially during aggressive driving.

The '06 pads are a bit different in shape and material. My driver's side pad just happens to have an annoying creak to it.

I'm 5'10 and the knee pads work just fine for me. It's not a big deal either way, but personally I like them being there.

are these kneepads only on the 2004.5 models? what about the first batch of 2004s? what else did they change on the .5 models?

I wish I had that knee pad. Maybe I will buy it but after the whole led interior setup and plenum.

yeah i never have used my knee cushion ever but i like that its there and there is no glove compartment. lol

but actually my friend who is 6'3" claims that he likes it?? i dunno
