Every panel on my car including the hood, roof, and trunk have hail damage from a storm that hit last thursday. Its very hard to notice unless youre close to the car and you look closely. Has anyone had a similar experience and know possibly how much damage that is? I just wanted some advice on what i should do after i get the estimate. Im at work now and ill try to put up pics later.

Call your insurance and report it, They usually handle Hail claims en'mass, You will get an inspection and usualy a check cut from anywhere from $2K-$7K You then go get it fixed at your convenience.
That sucks, sorry to hear it.
Back in MT in the early 90's we had a hail storm and a lot of cars got F'ed up. Some so bad they were totalled but they were huge dents and busted windows. I think you'll be ok, just report it to your Ins and go from there.

Ensure you take it to a reputable Body Shop. We had a hail storm last year, thankfully the Roadster was in the garage. My 02 Maxima was not so lucky, $5500 in damage. Here is the size of the hail,

The 3rd shot of my car was the second hail storm a day after the massive one.

I already reported and they are checkin them in masses. I have an appointment to have the damage estimated at station they set up (since lots of cars were damaged). I looks like every panel on my car will have to be replaced and i dont want it totalled, so im wondering how much damage that is. Ill try and post pics tomorrow.

I had some hail damage last December and got the insurance to take care of it. Had paintless dent removal done at the dealership where I bought her and she looks as good as the day I got her when they were done. Total cost for the insurance company was $1400. The paintless dent guys should be able to get all the dents unless one is in a really hard spot to fix. Then they would replace and paint.
Well, there is ONE positive thing about this (maybe). My 1st car got about $3500 worth of hail damage done to it at about 1.5 years old in early '96. The insurance bought me a new hood, dent removal and a new paint job. Back then OEM paint was a little thicker (?) but still had a few rock chips already even though I lived 5 miles from work. I put 164,000 hard miles on that car and turned it in with not a scratch on it 7 years later. Aftermarket paint jobs are a lot tougher. You could look at it as getting a improved paint job I guess but I do know how you feel - it happened to my 1st "baby" too. I ran out to the parking lot to rescue it and pull it into the shop and came in with my head bleeding!
Back then all dents weren't paintless repairs but there was no body work/filling involved. I THINK they strip the paint off to get whatever "tool" they use to work better or maybe it was dry ice? Anybody know how they used to do this BTW? If they do it totally paintless now you are out of a free paint job I guess.
At any rate this happens a lot all over the country and you should be covered and should get it fixed. Research all modern options and make sure they fix it right. My claim ended up being a little less becuase my insurance copmany informed the body shop of a more modern procedure at the time and that is what they would agree to pay for because it was a few hundred cheaper and it didn't involve any body work.
Good luck with everything. Hopefully your insurance covers a rental and they get it fixed before your limit on car rental runs out. We had so many cars damaged that year it took my car about 3.5 weeks in the shop and insurance only covered two weeks rental.

I had this happen once to my Integra, and the quote was $3000.
Body shops were backed up for months, and before they could repair the car it was stolen!
It was scary though, I pulled off the highway (no overpasses in sight) and I thought my windows were going to break.

I live in New Jersey. We don't get hail storms in Jersey. But, about 2 years ago on a nice fairly warm Fri. afternoon in late winter I decided to sweep the leaves and dirt out of my garage. Pulled my 91 300zxtt and my 93 300zx convertible out of the garage. Within minutes the sky turned black, wind kicked up and the proverbial golf ball size hail came out of nowhere. Got my cars back in the garage asap--but too late. $5500 worth of damage to the 91 and $3800 to the convertible. Luckily my comprehensive deductibles are zero on the 91 (collector car insurance) and $100 on the convertible. Total cost to me was $100. Both cars were repaired like new. Got new hoods on both and new trunk lid on the convertible. My 350z convertible was still in the garage. Got lucky on that one.
