I have looked through Harbor Freight, and JC Whitney with no luck. I really need some trolley blocks for my Jack, and Jack Stands.....does anybody know where to find these. I have thought about "fabing" some out of hard rubber blocks, but not to sure about working under the car after I have cut into something like that? Any Help?

I used 1" thick hard rubber blocks with a groove cut in them to slip over the metal seam under the car.

 

I thought about doing that but I was always worried about them splitting under load.....have you seen them split at all while in use. Also where did you get the rubber blocks???

 

I haven't had any problem with them splitting. The blocks are pretty hard and they take the load between the bottom of the frame and the tops of the jack stands. It takes a hack saw to cut them so that gives you an idea of how hard they are.

I got a couple chunks of rubber from a local place (industrial supply) that sells hoses and other rubber products. I original got it to raise my passenger seat up 1". Short people have trouble seeing over the hood and door so this way my wife doesn't have to sit on a pillow to see out. I used what was left to make some 3"x3"x1" blocks for the lift points.
