...Today i went back to an old cavalier forum that i used to frequent. And a funny thing happened that I didnt exactly expect. When i mentioned that i had just purchased a 350Z a few were like 'man sweet car' but a lot others were like..'ehhh, that car is too small'....or check this one out..'those headlights are just too big'! WTF??? I love those retarded excuses to hate on one of the hottest cars to come out. Anyone else get their Z's hated on like that by anyone w/o a car of the Z's caliber? Cuz i definatley dont see too many Z owners talking like that about Evo's, Vettes, etc...

 

I think most of us here just love cars. We don't care what kind of car you have. We're here because we happened to buy a Z but many of us have other "nicer" cars too.

If all you can afford is a Pinto who cares, as long as you like it and make it your own, that's what matters. People that hate have other issues.

I love my Z for what it is to me, my daily driver. My true love is the other car parked in my garage, an 8 second turbo mustang. Whether you hate mustangs or love em, take a ride in it and you'll be converted I liked the looks of the z, I wanted a small sports car for my daily driver, so thats' what I got. I also wanted something that's reliable so that's why I bought the Z over a vette. I can see why some don't like but it's just like ever other car. There are tons of people who hate mustangs, not me, I've owned 6 of them and currently own two. It's all in what you like.

 

lol sounds like me, though my old 93' coupe wasn't that fast...I still post a lot on DFWstangs.net and when i posted up the Z it was about half and half. you get the ignorant people that just say something like looks a ricer, or jap crap ect. ect. Then others respect the car for what it is...

I've always loved mustang and always will... Its wierd, its like my first love. When i have more room and money I'm going to get another coupe for a project car, and keep the Z for my daily. It was really hard for me to not get an 03' 04' cobra when i was shopping, but I knew i wanted something different and the Z fits that bill... It is one of the only cars I've owned that puts a smile on my face everytime i drive it...

 

I'm still feeling the hate. Someone, who apparently didn't have a Z, decided to tell me how much they hated it or hated me by keying it into my car. Hood, both sides, hatch and all my glass. This was before christmas and I have been without it for 4 weeks while its at the shop getting painted and getting new glass. It sounds like the epitimy (spelling) of hate, considering they wrote "merry christmas rich boy" on my hood, and I'm not even close to being rich. I was ready to kill somebody.

Funny you should mention that, there was a guy on my base in a riced-out Z24 with a personalized plate that would be perfect for a nicely modded 350Z

there are only two kinds of sports cars...the kind you sit IN it and the kind you sit ON it...the Z just happens to be the one you sit in it. One hell of a difference between the two. Any car enthusiast can tell you which one is better.
