Default Potential buyer with a quick question

Why hello there everyone, this is my first time posting. Friday I have an appointment to test drive a 2004 350z. If it goes as planned I'll probably buy it sometime next week.

My question is about the car. Here's the link .
Do you think that's a fair price? If not what do you think I should offer? I called the dealership and they said it was a manual transmission, they just made a typo on autotrader. Thank you for any input.

their website, http://www.jenkinsnissan.com/ says it is a touring but if the pictures are correct it is not a touring. Because it has cloth seats, and the touring has leather. The rims are 17's, you can tell by the style. The KBB on a touring edition if 29k, enth. is 26k, base-25k. I would guess that it is an enth or base. Check that, looking at the picture it is a base. It has no tcs or vdc button.

check the pic guys, it is a base.

i went to their actual website, the link is for the actual car and has pics of it. For that price there is no way it is a tourring like they say. If the interior pic on the website is the actual car it is a base. It has no tcs/vdc button which is only that way on the base, which would also explain the low starting price.

In one place it says that the car is a Touring with a manual transmission. Another place says automatic. The photo shows a Base. How about passing on this one.

I honestly don't mind if it's a base model.. I have a 02 Lancer es. This thing, even though it's base, is 100x better than the car I have now. I honestly hate my current car.

But yeah I didn't look at their website earlier. So do you guys think that's a fair price? Or do you think that I could get it for $22k?

ask for 19-20k, and do some research into the differences between the base and other models in 04. The good news for you is that it appears to be an 04.5 because it has the knee pads. But don't let them tell you it is a great deal because it is a touring b/c it isn't.

Ah that's good news. Do you really think that I could get it for 19-20k though? over $4k off of the asking price seems a little much. I'll make sure to read up some more on the base/touring before I go in there. It's always a bad thing when the salesman thinks he has control over the deal.

The problem is the pricing. If it is a Base, they have it priced similar to a Touring. You will have to bicker about what model it is. Which they will not be happy. Then you will have to twist their arm on the price.

Ah well I'm a 20 year old full-time student and I work 45+ hours a week. I have to pay for everything I own including rent. I currently drive a 120hp 2002 automatic lancer. I apologize if the base isn't good enough for you.. it is for me.
