Default premium gas..

u know i got a premium gas filled when i got the car from the dealership..but then i used the regular and when i read the manual..it says i have to use premium gas for optimal performance..and my dad was like i don't need it..so is it really neccessary to use premium gas or regular because the octane is like 83 and premium is like what 93 or something..not a big difference right?

It makes a big difference as far as performance. The computer will pull ignition timing if it hears detonation which will hurt performance. You can use 87 but you will lose power.

Forget the terms regular and premium. Just go by octane number: 91 plus.

1st this and now the poor lil indian kid doesn't know which gas to put. Thats ok just listen to daddy and keep pouring "regular gas" in your Z. You will be fine.

Go find out the difference in higher octane gas and lower octane gas then reread the manual.

It says you can use 87 octane in it but don't take it over I think it was 4k rpm I could be wrong.

Cheap bastard 3-4 dollars a tank won't kill you.
