Left out in the Elements
My Z is my DD because my wrangler died on my this winter. On top of that my house burnt down last month so I'm forced to leave her out in the snow at the hotel where I'm living. I drive a min of 70 miles a day and try to get her washed at least once a week at a car wash place. It's sad to see her treated like this.

mine hasn't been washed since last nov, but thats because the apt. complex took away the hoses! (i guess they didn't want the water pipes to crack or some stupid crap like that... hehehehe )..... other than that, i wash it every few weeks (maybe once a month or so?) during the spring-fall time...i like it being shiny, but i work 7days/week, so it makes it kinda hard to wash/wax it as much as i would. Also, i hate all the brake dust on the front rims, but not much i can do about it for right now, until i can change out my front brake pads...

I rent an apartment and thus don't have access to a hose or anything... which sucks because I love to handwash...
I usually wash my car at a 4 dollar spot 2 times a week (really disappointed w/ the job they do though but 4 dollars is 4 dollars I guess)
I go to a decent 15 dollar "the works" place once every 7-10 days and any time the 5 day forecast has no rain I'll take it for a 20 dollar handwash LOL
I'll take it to a friend's house to do any waxing or detailing on a Saturday morning on a seasonal basis
My girlfriend says I'm addicted, but really it's just an issue of respecting my vehicle and despising street parking/lack of hose access...still I wish I could regularly wash it in front of my home like every other self-respecting Z owner.

I wash my car every weekend, and give it a couple coats of wax after every wash. Once a month, or more if I've driven it a lot, I give it the claybar treatment as well. I love the way the Z looks when its clean. I've gotten my PPW Z so clean that you can clearly see your reflection in it without a problem.
I'm really dissapointed on how long some guys on here go without washing their Z...

I am not wanting to insult anyone, but the biggest reason my car doesn't get washed as much is I leave for work about 8:00 and get home about 6:30 -7:00 Monday through Friday, so its pretty much dark when I am at home. When the weekend hits, I always forget, because the gray just does not seem to show the dirt as bad. Its the wheels that always tell me its time.

So I guess I dont wash my car as often now!!
Still I wash it couple of times a week, hehe.

The trick is to never let it get dirty.

I dunno I just get lazy and don't want to wash the car EVERY weekend. I mean really, it takes a while and you gotta get everything set up. It's important to wash your car but don't be paranoid about it.
In addition, in areas where it snows or is quite dirty (dusty) it may not be worth washing all the time since it will become dirty again real quickly.

My car is filthy right now...since my apartment complex's car wash area is shut down for the winter still. Though I got yelled at yesterday by a buddy (he's a G35 owner) so I'll be going over to his house in the near future with some soap and a bucket....
