I actual have the manual and was able to find it online awhile back as well. My point was that not everyone gets the manual with the car and not everyone is technically savy enough to figure out how to find it.
Besides, the entire site is about people asking questions. And the manual doesn't have half the answers. Telling someone to RTFM is just childish.

i've noticed the rev hang-ups are not uncommon on newer cars now. i think it's a combination of the pcm calibration and the flywheel. if there's etc in the car, you can calibrate how long the throttle stays open and how the injectors are firing when you let off the accelerator pedal.
from what i've driven, the mustang GT, mazda6, z, and sti have revs that don't fall fast enough when you're upshifting. FWIW, that was my biggest complaint about the sti. but the evo, nc miata, and na miata revs fall fast enough to match my shifts.
