Default AC alway on in the 350

Why is the DAMN AC always on until you turn it off. Its like the worst default I have ever seen. You would think if you turn it off the next time you get in the car it would stay off. It sucks up sooooooooo much gas

As I understand it, the reason it does it isn't too cool the air but simply to remove the humidity. If you think about it the words "air conditioning" don't have anything to do with the air being cold or hot. We've just all associated it with cold.

I think you may have your setting turned to "auto" on your fan speed controller. If you set that to any other setting, it will stay off.

On my car, I have my first **** (fan position) set to "auto", my second **** (temp) set to around 73-74, and my third **** (fan speed) set to low (I get crazy if you're in your car with no fan running and your breathing in your own air again, I always have to have the fan going). Good luck!

Is the AC actually on or is it just ready to go on if the temperature setting calls for it?

Yep, turn the AC to off instead of Auto. Mine never comes on.

Turn the fan dial (the one on the far right) to off if you never want the AC on. If you're talking about how even with the fan set to off there's still a little air coming through the vents, turn off the recirculate function (push in whichever button doesn't turn on the rear defroster).
