Default Passanger cup holder was knocked off

Today a co-worker knocked it off, it broke into 2 peices but it looks like it went back togther ok.

The entire assembly is kinda loose tho (including the arm that comes out of the dash), it moves up and down side to side. I also have ALWAYS had to push on it hard to get it to go back into the dash all the way w/o poping back out. Is this normal?

Mine is currently stuck in again too, apparently Nissan didnt realize that the cup holder would be used for holding soda, if soda spills it's sticky, and sticky on the cup holder = stuck in place. Sometimes i take the effort to use some type of skinny screw driver or something to pry it out, but usually i forget.

You can use a little electronics cleaner in a spray can to unstick it. Just spray the little tube and spray around the cupholder and it should free up. Safe on electronic back in the dash. It's solvent that evaporates completely taking the sticky stuff away most of the time.

I’m surprise that my cup holder has laster 38,000 miles. A Swiss watch doesn't have as many parts.
