fairlady Z was chosen because the creator of the Z loved the movie "MY Fairlady" so that's why he named the car what it is today...in japan it's called Fairlady Z. because the US market doesn't like it...they went with 350Z instead, for better sales.

The Japanese don't like cars called numbers. 350Z = Fairlady Z. Mazda MX5 = Eunos Roadster. etc etc.

uh.. i see ALOT of Asian Z owners put it on! im not sure about the rest.. its a nice JDM thing if your into the style.. some people even put it on the other side of the trunk.. along with the 350. mine started where the 3 starts.. and basicly its 1 letter next to another with very small space in between.. i placed the Z a little further out because i like it that way..

350>fairlady in US because MAJORITY Z owners buy the car and drive the car.. thats it.. they dont mod it nor join forums like this of any kind... or they may never even heard of a fairlady.. its possible..

in Japan, they take it off to replace 350 to be a lil bit unique.. kinda like us putting fairlady so its a lil dif. from the rest..
