5k is pretty cheap for a collision in general.

Umm 5k was cheap for that kinda hit. I was surprised about the estimate when someone forgot the yeild and I got paint cratch, no body damage.

Basicly he didnt yeild, I caught it last second and swerved. Hit mirror and a little bit of his side pannel scraped my car, which this detailed pic is evidence of that.

Bill for the accident?
$1,273.43 this included no body work. Just sanding, painting, and blending and replacement of the stripe. So your 5k esimate doesnt seem bad in comparison. Note to self and others, dont hit pre 2001 explorers... there costly.

Yep its tha labor thats the most expensive part... add up quicker than people think. The important thing about mine was no one was seriously hurt and its fixed now with a lifetime warranty on the molding and paint. Can't complain about that.

Sorry if you don't like my (honest) opinion, but I think the kit's not to my liking... I would have taken the opportunity to get a CF hatch (and depending if it's driven in snow / the winter, a lexan rear glass replacement) and gone from there. At least you got rid of those tail lights
Overall though, taste differences aside, I'm very glad to see you have it back / intact, it's never fun seeing a fellow enthusiast's car damaged
