350z = chick magnet?
I've gotten the occasional "cute car!" (whether that's good or bad) from the ladies. Also some random honking and thumbs up on the freeway when I'm crusin' with the top down.
But I agree, it's not all about what you drive. I agree with UncutZ00, I just say that I drive a "nissan" and then tell them a "350z" if they ask. Then when they see that it is a yellow convertible, they really like it more. I'm not trying to attract attention to myself, but I admit that I do like to show off in a very very modest way! Of course when I see some of the high end sports cars on the freeway, I feel tiny.

. Well I just can't park my car anywhere with out someone looking at me. Is it just me? I have a girlfriend and love her, but come on, give me a break! I may have to sell this car before I get in trouble!!! ha ha.. what you think!?
Any women that looks at me in my car just want me !
I had to buy a stick to fend them off last week...

Regardless, cruising around PV, it IS like an auto show. Or a horse show (depending on where you are).

Very true!

But some of those girls are facially challenged/fat (Not Z worthy). So I just take my food and leave.
As far as picking up chics, I didn't really have that problem when I owned my '99 Maxima GLE, so maybe my opinion can not count. However, I will say this: I have noticed many, many more looks from girls when driving this car. Even when I have my keys out on the table with the Z keychain, it attracts attention. Some people just have no game, and I'm sorry for those of you, but no matter what you drive, picking up chics will be a problem. But to the rest of us, don't think that ONLY owning this car will get you chics... but it will certainly help...
i think tiff needel summed it up best in his comparo of the z vs audi tt (the banzai version even) on an awesome episode of fifth gear (google video search 'fifth gear'), he basically said about the z that he loved the sound, the feel, the handling, the way it looked and maybe most of all the price for all that. said that he could drive it all day. about the audi, understeer. and that frankly, he didnt want to drive it anymore.
i love the z for the reasons above. i really dont care about it's affect on women. i rather be invisible in that regard. many people will call me on that given my profession but it's the truth. let me be honest, im an ugly dude. the car doesnt make me any more appealing. i'd rather not be seen or associated with anything 'flash' and be judged on that. but enjoying the car, and appreciating it's form vocabulary, its a privilege to own one. yeah, when asked i too just say i drive a nissan and if pressed i say 'it's a z car' i actually try to downplay it. i have a darth vader z with gold rims but the only kind of attention it attracts makes me uncomfortable. i do like however, when other guys with tuned cars say something nice. then it's a peer to peer thing. but to the uninformed women, it makes be feel a bit of a poser, as if im trying to show off. its just a car, and no reflection of what i really have to offer, ya know?
at this point my girlfriend has taken over the car and it's a darned nicer sight to see and hear her roaring off in the car, she likes the flash (now that she got her license and can drive the thing, her tune has changed, naturally.) i prefer that she recieves the attention and she actually enjoys it, being six foot tall and always the center of attention.
to the point, the z is a beautiful car, its not just skin deep. you gotta appreciate everything it stands for. i'm proud to own a nissan for all the right reasons including innovation/high concept/value. i just dont care about the three point star if it drives like a dog, and im not impressed by those that do. i think we all are in the same boat on that one!

350z = chick magnet....I don't think so lol. Today I was at a Chevy dealership looking at a Silverado and some old old woman in a Taurus rolled down her window and said 'nice car'.....
I guess if geriatrics do it for you ya the Z is a real magnet.......
michaeljr6.... stock Zs slow? you must have an auto.
a manual Z can do 60 in the low 5s and a q mile in the mid 13s stock; if thats slow for a stock, car then pretty much everything else on the road is slow.
now i know why its michaeljr
