Default Nismo LSD Break in

I just installed the nismo lsd. Does anybody know the break in period and proper techniques? Also, do I need to change the oil in the differential after the break in? Any help is much appreciated.

I had a Nismo LSD in my car and was told by the Nissan dealer that there was not really a breakin technique (drive as usual), but that the oil should be changed after 500 miles.

I was told the same thing for my ATS clutch style diff. They told me it was best for 2 people to take turns doing this and then change the oil afterwards.

I just got back from doing 20 right full turns and 20 left full turns and 20 figure eights. I hope the slight wheel spin on sharp turns when you first start out goes away. Other than that I just need to put about 500 more miles on it to start drifting away.

with most clutch type lsd.
you must do figure 8's for approx 30 minutes
then change oil
also w/ clutch type lsd
try not to use synthetic oils. Use dino oil only.

How hard is it to change the settings. Can you do it without taking off the cover? Or, do you have to drain oil take off cover to adjust? Please explain.

There is not SET break in for the Nismo LSD & there is a post out there already that has like 10 pages with all the different ways that you can do it.
