Default Brake Pad Mileage

For those of you who have replaced your stock brake pads, what kind of mileage did you get?

Yea thats either ridiculously bad braking, or you just refuse to downshift. Like I mean absolutely REFUSE.

I have 15K and am still going..were squeaking for a while..brought it in to get my wheels refurbed (when they changed my tires for the feathering, they recklessly did the job and scratched my rims; now my 17's from the enthu are silver, matching the handles)...and now they are fine. oh well!

I heel-toe quite a lot, and always double clutch on the downshift..yet i'm at 15,000K still going strong. Maybe it was a bad batch..but really, 2000, you have to assess driving habits lol

Had my fronts replaced last summer when I had approximately 35,000 miles racked up. I just had the rears replaced about 2 months ago....mileage at the time was about 48,000 or so, IIRC.

I know you don't "need" too, david, it's just a matter of me wanting too. Plus, it feels like your Mario Andretti

At 22k I replaced my pads and rotors because I just could not stand the dust. All four corners appeared to be half used, could have gone at lest another 15k. Who cares though, I have not cleaned my wheels in two weeks and they still look silver.

what you said about the "dust"....I always wonder why my front wheels get so dirty...covered in this blackish coat of dirt. I always thought it was just because i turn my front wheels and not my rear (which are almost always clean). Is the dust/dirt i see from my front brakes??

I had the front pads replaced at about 25,000 miles. I'm at 35,000 now and I think the rears probably need it.

I guess I drive like a wuss. I still have 40% left on the back and about 60% on the front and i'm almost at 50k. I have the brembos but that still shouldn't make much of a difference.
