Better interior, better motor, 4 seats.

Each car has their benefits. The GTO is more of a grand touring car, softer ride/ more comfortable. Even so, the stock tires are complete crap which is shown in the skidpad #'s.

Better interior...materials maybe..ergonomics no. better motor?...no. The Z motor was built for at least 200,000 miles, I'll see the GTO at 200k in a junkyard. Z=V6=300hp. GTO=V8-400hp. 50hp per/cylinder- equal in my book.
0-60 is in the 13's for both cars. Just a choice of personal taste. Let's just wish him good luck with his purchase.

I dont know, the LS series of motors is not too bad, and the engines are not equal, 400>300. yes hp per cylinder is the same, but what about the torque? And there are two more cylinders on the goat.

Dude. GOAT? We use that chassis for most of our TAXIS here in australia. Sure it's got a big engine but it gets eaten alive on the track by civics/intergras that can turn better.

Edit: Good luck on your new purchase

If you like drag racing the GTO is a good choice.

I'd wait for the New Camaro. But, if you can't wait a GTO has power to spare and room for four. It's also great for keeping the tickets down in stealth mode.

Have fun and enjoy your new ride.
