Shifting an A/T in Manual Mode??
Anyone know if shifting an A/T Z in Manual Mode at 5,000-6,500 rpms can damage the transmission at all..? Was the Manual Mode of the A/T designed to mimick stick shift Z's and unlock the full power of your Z, or simply to get your Z out of mud or snow?

You can beat the **** out of your tranny if you are stock and you will still not harm the car. Dont worry about manual mode. They were made to take a beating. I drive my car all the way to redline than shift. you are safe bro

Ok, thanx guys. I have my reasons why I got an A/T. There are advantages and disadvantages to both trannies but A/T ended up being the better decision for me. Just wanted to make sure that I could unlock the full power of my car without worrying about damaging anything.
