I know everything your saying about air temp, moisture, etc. But like I said, when I want the temp, I will check it on my own.
I seem to be a much better judge than my Z when ICY conditions may actually be present. It could be sunny as hell outside, zero moisture, zero humidity, and still.....ICY and 38 degrees, lol.
And it really pisses me off when my radar detector starts going off and I look down at my speedo, and guess how fast I am going, 38 and ICY.

Old Thread, but I didn't want to start another to express the only frustrations I have with this beautiful car. I guess the '06 changes cleared up most of the complaints as I have only 2 after 17,000 miles
1)the damn dipstick which should come with a light on it to find the hole and not get it stuck in the guides while you're painstakingly trying to put in back in and
2) tada(no one has mentioned) You can't smoke in the car when it's raining as water comes in if the window is even opened a crack. I know, what idiot would smoke in a Z. I do, but only if I can crack the window to draw out the smoke and I live in rainy Washington.

I hve an 04 enthusiast. I don't like how my seat belt doesn't retract by itself whenever I take it off, all the squeaks, radio, the look of he steering wheel, the design of the exhaust tips (all dual aftermarket exhaust pretty much look the same), and the crappy paint.
Now my ideal z would be:
V-8
twin turbo
ITBs
8000 rpm red line
AWD
911 style Recaro seats
some different styled steering wheel
Red illumination intrument cluster with yellow/silver gauges
spread the exhaust tips out a little and make them quad tips
black housing headlights
wider rims/tires
that all I can think of top of my head.
But in the mean while I will try to get as close to that as possible.

I don't like the stock headers, bose system, leather seats, antenna, stock wheels, short life tires, gets dirty very fast, rear suspension is higher than front, ecu is tuned maxed out not letting bolt-ons getting their potential w/o a tune.

One of the first things I corrected about it was the long stock antenna... too long!!! So I first got a S2K one... good enough but nothing to write home about...
So I just got this:
Great reception (pretty much like the stock one), solid aluminum construction and nice looks. Love it!
www.altaminiperformance.com - thanks to Mike Lee for the tip!

the 2003 suXed a$$.... too many complaints, bought an accord for 2 years. Then bought a 2006 Z:
2006... OW3NZ A$$. I love it. Only one complaint left:
CLUTCH!
WTF is that? Trust me, its WORSE than the 2004 v6 6spd accord. The clutch is the worst, period

On the '06...
*Blind spots. Fixed with wide-angle stick-on mini mirrors.
*Halfassed Dipstick. No Fix.
*Wish Power-to-weight was better. I see power mods/ weight reduction in my future.
*Streaks on the windows. No Fix.
*They should have made the turn signals led to match the rest of the lights. Might need to swap those out.
*Only has 400 miles on it, so not sure about oil consumption yet...
*I hit a wide sweeper the other day at about 110-120ish mph entering one of my favorite chicanes, and noticed the backend was trying to step out a little harder than my '04 Z did. Might need to put lowering springs, camber/toe kit on it.
For the price, can't be beat!
