What dont you like about your 350Z?

ok, this is trivial I know, but I don't like the brightness of the orange rectangle that has the odomotor and trip mileage. If I turn down the instrument levels so it's at a level that doesn't glare at you, the rest of the instrumentation is too dark, wish the ratio between the two wasn't as wide. Better yet, wish they would have done that like the 1st dash gauge that houses outside temp, tire pressure, etc., made the box dark and the numbers orange. Just my opinion and minor I know.

I just got my 07 and ive got some things to complain about...
Im hearing a strange whining sound coming from the rear sometimes.
The lack of a button to open the trunk from the inside
No AUX input in the stock stereo
I havent been getting very good mileage.. 14.6 MPG
I wish the keys and remote came in a sleeker package like a Mercedes key
The manual mode in my 5AT is slow. It takes some time after i shift up for it to do anything.
I didnt buy a 6spd...

1. It pulls right hard at all speeds.
2. The clutch pedal makes a popping noise.
3. There is a whining noise coming from the differential at speeds between 80-90mph.
4. My dealership refuses to help me.
5. Nissan corporate refuses to return any of my phone calls.
6. My lawyer says not to drive it since nissan could use it against me in court, so now I have a $29,000 hunk of metal that sits in the garage.
7. Worst of all, the car pulls so bad that it irritates and enrages me to drive it.

On my current commmute (~25 miles 1 way, 2/3rds by time is highway at 65-80 mph), I get ~21-23 mpg by my calculations.
I have a 3-4 mile commute and I drive thru downtown - obviously extremely stop n go. You think I'll be outta luck?

only thing that bothers me right now is the squeaky clutch pedal. I read through posts and the only thing that seems to fix it is to turn the sterio up so you can't hear it
Besides that, it's a decent car

The thing I cant stand the most is the Paint quality... its horrible and I cry every single time I discover a new rock/paint chip . Other than that the clutch chatter and tranny noise and the clunk-clunk noise in the rear :'( As far as speed goes, its fast enough for me and I love my car so much!

4-year old complaints...
I've had my Base Z since they were ALL brand-new cars, and from the get-go I have had some gripes.
First, let me say that I love my car. It's a Real Love, one that will stand time's test.
Less love,of course, than I have for my kids, but more than I love my dog,who ALWAYS barks like hell around midnight.More love than I have had for any car that I have previously owned.
Still,I have these gripes.
The car had some initial warranty issues, but they were handled well by the dealer and the Z is now at a trouble-free 52,000,so my problems don't stem from the mechanical side. They're more internalized.
The gripes are minimal in the larger scheme, but they nag nonetheless. They involve practically everything I can see when behind the wheel.
First,I'm a smoker, and,Nissan Designers,I really could have used an actual ashtray and a more sensible location for the lighter socket.Trying to reach over your body with your left to get the popped-out lighter while driving at 70 with your right is a Three Stooges routine and is a certain way to meet Doom, especially if you have a stickshift and are in heavy traffic.
Secondly,it's baffling position between the seats means that I have to duct tape my radar detector's wires to the headliner, which is dumb as a rock.
Then there is the glovebox.Or rather, there ISN'T the glovebox.
Forthly,a cup-type ashtray now sits permanently in the cupholder, where it gets whacked by everyone who gets in the passenger side.Someday,I will lose my cupholder. Then what???
The overall interior is stark and cave-like,even in the lighter shades. The door panels are too complicated in their use of faux-carbon fiber patterns and too simple in their execution.I hate the sloping armrest, and the windowsills are a tad too high for hanging my arm out the window in comfort.
Then there is the Mystery Hole. Why did I have to pay for this dumb design folly???Why do I have to look at it everytime I drive???
It really doesn't hold anything of any substance, like CDs or a beer can,but there it is,with its smooth sliding door and it's blank, false carbon fiber face.An oddly designed empty space...
My biggest complaint is directed at the rest of the interior, the part I can't see when I'm driving.Actually,I STILL can't see it when I open the hatch. Some cultures call it a "trunk",or "storage space".
Nissan calls it the "G35".
On the Z,"space" means everything outside the car's aura.
Inside, the concept of "no space" dominates.
Open the hatch,there isn't space...
I travel a lot,and I've learned that if two people pack for a long trip in the Z,one of them--probably not the driver--will either have to keep Fed-Exing their luggage to the next town on the trip,or be forced to pack in nothing larger than a pillowcase. There is simply no room for anything back there, not even for the tire when it goes flat.Try to fit 3 cases of beer and a guitar in the hatch. Can't be done.
I know,it's a freakin' SPORTSCAR and if it is going to wear that badge it means the owner must sacrifice something for the power and the pastiche.I have been sacrificing four years now, even as I fell in love.
Anyway,those are my complaints.
