350z over and over again, the base c5 vette was a terrible car, with headers, pipes, exhaust, intake and plenum and piggyback I beat base ones all day, plus factory for factory they can't handle worth chit!

C-5 is the Better of the 2, i love the C-5, but i cant Afford the maintenance and insurance, right now. I love my Z, but in 10 years it will be worth alot less than a C-5, i wish to have both one day.

Ok C5's are cheaper and much easier to modify and get signifigant gains... And to the post about a C5's handling not being as good... Have you driven a C5, they handle wonderfully...

Basically a C5 is a great engine, great handling, and braking, with a ****ty interior, and over all fit and finish. enjoy fixing headlights and seats, my bro's C5 has had 2 new drivers seats since he has owned it and he only weighs about 160 lbs. Also his parking lights and interior lights have quit working but only while the engine is running ...

The Z is much more sexy, with equal handling and braking but is more expensive to mod and make power...

When I was shopping the insurance quote on the vette was cheaper than the Z and vettes get better gas mileage as well. The vette also has more room in the back than the Z but there isn't a spare so if you have a flat your SOL...

I went with an 03' touring BTW and love it...

having had both,i personally like the z better. but they both have their good points, i miss the heads up display on the vette, that was way cool. both the cars cost alot to upgrade if your buying quality parts. I agree that the vettes interior sucks, it's plain, looks cheap, and will get squeaks and rattles very quickly. they are both sexy cars, so just go w/ the one that you like more. they are both great cars, imo. maintenance will be more on the vette. i think the z looks more exotic.

As for the topic at hand, the C5 will be faster in a line and around turns dollar for dollar. It will also get better gas mileage. And it's available with a targa top as the 350Z should of been.

Steering feel, build quality and interior are by far better in the 350Z. If you're shopping used, 350Z owners also don't think their cars are worth $5k more than they really are.

I beg to differ.

I've driven the C5 vettes on the track, at Bondurant.

Having done so, I'd get the 350Z hands down.

The 350Z's interior is 100x better than the C5, and it feels a lot more fun than the c5.

The racing C5 felt quite vague, floaty at the track. The 06 350Z I rented felt very alive, responsive, and FUN.

My friend and I both who have driven NSXs and own them, took my rental 350Z out for a spin. He was really thrilled by the 350Z, as was I. Not quite the same league as the NSX, but quite a bit more fun than the C5 Vette.

Hope this helps.

Feel and laptimes are not the same. I said the C5 was faster.

I already stated the 350 has better steering feel.

your comment is ignorant too. you think the z is an eclipse or something. i don't remember a z in 2f2f with every car, you will have some young spoiled owners, but your comment leaves me to believe that you think the z is like a civic or scion and is being riced out by every owner. i don't think so.

i like both cars. growing up, vettes were my dream car. but as i got older, i started to prefer imports. i just like the feel of the z and i wouldn't be mad if i gone with the vette instead.

I was making an equally ignorant comment on purpose, just to show him how dumb it sounds.
