"The Run" DVD UPDATE
"The Run", the 6 minute short created by Nissan late last year and then shown in movie theatres across North America should be available later this week.

I will be giving away a few copies through my350Z.com for lucky members. Not sure yet exactly what type of contest to hold though to win the DVD so I am open to ideas.

Thanks for the update J- great to hear from you. It feels like May 2002 all over again - ok maybe not.
I thought the dvd was longer than 6 minutes....more like 14...?

By what I remember the Z preview in theaters are 6minutes long, but the DVD itself is a 14 minute clip with backround information and other setup, so the entire dvd should be over 20 minutes. As far as a contest.. how about first come first serve? *Raises hand* I'm first!

I was under the impression that all current Z owners were getting the movie. I did get the letter (which Ethan posted the link to) saying how i was to get a DVD in January.
Looks like i'll be watching the mail with the same enthuziasim(sp) as when i was waiting for my 1st confrimation letter.

I had to clear some things from the finances first. I want to be able to drop a nice piece of the car price down upon delivery so the payments aren't crazy.
I have flip flopped all over regarding which model and color etc, but after having a 350Z in October for a week to drive, I decided I am going to get a Silverstone Enthisiast model, then change the wheels to 19" volk TE37's, change the brakes, add the Nismo suspension kit, grounding kit and then start in under the hood.
If all goes well, maybe around summer. If not, ah well... it will happen though.
Zwindsor... I never promised you anything, haha. The promo cd has been available though online in various areas through kazaa as well as other p2p areas. I had assumed you'd already gotten it because you didn't email me or ask me further about it. I don't have it anymore though, so you'll need to get it elsewhere. I am sure there are several hundred my350z.com viewers that have it though. Possibly one of them will help you out.

I was under the impression that the movie was filmed with several camera angles and you can switch to different angles on the DVD. Even if it's only 6 minutes of driving, it could actually be 24 minutes of footage with 4 camera angles.
Is this the case?

I'd love to get a copy of this, being in the UK we're a little behind you guys in the US with Z worshipping. I heard yesterday that there are 4,000 pre-orders and only 450 being delivered this year! I have pre-ordered, but don't think I managed to get in the first 450
