2005 or 2006
I currently have a 2003 DB coupe. Am considering changing to a SB Roadster. Up here in VT, the Roadster inventory is sparse, at best. I can get an '05 SB Touring Roadster for $32,500 or about $5,500 of MSRP. Or, the red '06 I have my eye on carries an MSRP of $38.9 and I'd probably be able to get a couple of thousand off. I doubt I'd be able to get it for invoice. My question, is the '06 worth the extra bucks? Are the changes between '05 and '06 that significant.
Thanks for not telling me to use the search function as I already tried and couldn't find anything.

What are the miles on the 05? If it's new then you should be able to get a great deal on it so I would do that. But if you can get an 06 for only $3k or so more then do that. It'll have a better resale value.

The '05 is brand new with 3 miles on it. The dealership offering it is one where they post the lowest price, which in this case is $32K for a $38K MSRP. I'd be lucky to get the '06 for $37K, given the limited stock up here. Are the changes to the '06 really worth it?
I say no. Get the 05...that's a good deal for a new Z.
The 06 has stereo controls on the steering wheel, some interior trim touches, new headlights and tailights...and an extra 200lbs! That isn't worth an extra $5k to me.
At KBB.com an 05 ZR should be $36k retail (in my zip code). Even if they don't sell it it depreciates yearly. But $32,500 is still a fair price for a new car.

Go with the '06. (I'm probably saying that because I have one!) I do like the HID headlights (high and low beam), 300 hp, the new style 18" rims, interior changes, etc.
I guess it's easy to spend your money.
