Default 100 Point Courtesy Check-up

Does anyone think this is worth it or is it just a way to find things to get me to pay for?

LOL That's where you go in, and then they "discover" that you need:

radiator flush, new brake pads and rotors, fuel injector cleaner, engine air filter...

aw screw it, it's free, why not just do it!!!

it'll be well worth it if your z's got about 150k on it.

imo it's bullsh!t just to get you into the shop so they can sell you something you don't need, and believe me they'll think of something!

That's what I was thinking. They will find LOTS of things that "need" to be fixed or replaced. I think I'm gonna pass this "deal" up. HA

Depends on how much trust you have in your Nissan Dealer. If that's the case almost nobody will take their Z in !

I had my oil changed the day before I got that offer in the mail..

I'll still take it in though. I can't pass up a free offer that will only help keep my car in tip-top shape. I drive the **** out of my Z. My dealer hooks me up and they do good work. I have absolutely no worries about visits to the dealership.

Thanks, nissan.

Why do people have to be so stupid? It's no wonder some people have all the problems they do.

People like myself are drivers. We bought the Z because the Z is a perfectly balanced sports car. In stock form it's sex on wheels. We also have a complete working knowledge of mechanics and how cars work. We aren't mechanics. Even though we could fix and perform just about anything we run into, we might not have the proper tools, time, or desire to do it ourselves. We understand that the dealership has technicians that perform these tasks every day. They have the tools and the experience to do the job quickly and correctly.

If you're worried about this courtesy check being a scam, you are most likely insecure with yourself or your knowledge of cars. If you know what's up, the service people can't very well take advantage of you(not that they would if you didn't, maybe unless you acted like an ***). You also drive a 350z, like you need a new car. I've never been haggled by sales people while waiting on my car to be serviced. The tech's arent going to find BS problems just so they can charge you to fix them. Most of the things that they are checking will be covered under warranty anyhow, so it's better the problem get addressed sooner rather than later.

If you drive hard like I do, you will appreciate nissan offering this courtesy check-up and take them up on the offer. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Don't be an absurd idiot.

That's strange. They hook me up all the time. They have fixed all recall/warranty work with absolutely no hassles. They've even given me a free oil-change. Coulda fooled me!!

I'm using it as a reason to get all the TSB's and recall work done. I plan on bringing the service bulletins I want done and am going to say. While you are at it (doing the 100 point check) add these to the list. My car goes off waranty in May.
