I read somewhere that the 3,750 mile oil change interval is too often (presumably because the more often you change it, the more money the dealer/Jiffy Lube makes).

I've also read that 5,000 miles between oil changes (especially if you use synthetic, I use Syntec) is more than enough to ensure that your car will last awhile.
