Best place to buy parts in Canada?
Hello there,
I am looking to buy a replacement multi-function gauge for my 2004z. Anyone know where I can buy parts other than the dealer. I bought the car in the US and would like to have the outside temp and other readings in metric.
Thanks for any input.
David

Most local shops have difficulty matching US pricing.. even after duty is added, and with the Canadian dollar doing well there is a bigger advantage.
A few places that have done their best to match US pricing that I have dealt with are:
Redline Racing in Kamloops
Harry at bigwheelz.com in Calgary
New Pacific Nissan in Surrey -- mod-friendly shop (Nismo & Stillen parts)
I'll post more later.

There may be more to it than just replacing the guage (ie computer etc). You may want to check this out before buying parts?
Did you have to have the Z certified to bring it here? My understanding is Canada has different bumper regulations than the states.
I ask this because the C6 vettes in the states are selling for $44USD with the exchange rate thats a bit over $50CAD which is less than I paid for my ZR!!

The only real issue I have heard about and you can PM member "apharmdb" about this -- the Canadian Z's must have DRL wired to come on automatically.
A few local dealers in BC are selling 350Z's purchased at US auto auctions but the dealer is making them compliant with proper gauges, etc.
