thats what i would have imagined, yea the v6es(mustangs) have hypereutectic pistons stock, but cast crank and rods, no one has broke a crank yet though.

The stock vq35 crank is good for roughly 1100whp I believe... The connecting rods are built like toothpicks and are very fragile under boost. Rods are the first think people swap out on this motor along with lower compression pistons and arp studs. A stock block is capable of up to 500-550whp by present standards and a VERY good tune. A built bottom end will get you to 650~ whp, at which time you must sleeve the block and do valve work for more power.
There are other obsticles past this, but I'm pretty sure we will be seeing 1000whp street tuned 350zs in the next 6-8 months.
