Default Not another G vs. Z...

Potential buyer trying to decide between the 2. I like the lines of the Z better, but the only thing holding me back is the lack of rear seats (for storage mainly, I don't have many midget friends).

So, just curious if anyone has heard of moding the rear 'area' of the Z to increase storage capacity. I haven't dinked around enough in the back to even see if that's possible.

This is mainly to store my small (25 lb.) dog when my GF is riding passenger.

I don't think it's possible to increase storage space without
sacrificing the spair tire.
I'm not sure how big 25lb dog is, but unless it's like those poodle sized
ones it'll be a tight space because of the sloping hatchback design.

yeah, the dog would get whacked around in the hatch pretty bad. I know my stuff back there is always flying all around. Could the pup sit on the floor on the passenger side if the seat is all the way back? How often would the dog be traveling with you? Does your GF have a car? If so, can she drive when the dog is coming with you? My sis has a 30lb Boston and I've driven with him in my Z fine. But only me and him. He was hanging on for dear life in the passenger seat and the engine/Exhaust scared the crap out of him, but he fit.
Bottom line...Get what you like better. The Z isn't the most practical car, but it's not intended to be. Truthfully, it doesn't bother me too much except in the winter when theres snow

You want to put a 25pound dog in the back of a leather seat G35coupe? That's not a good mix.

25 pounds sounds like a beagle or similar hound. German sheppards are about 80-100 lbs.

If you need room for friends and animals get a G35 sedan.
