A dear will not move once it stares at your headlights, it's blinded and waits until it can see again before it moves. You did the right thing to stop rather than swerve!

Speaking of I think its funny people wear dark colors while walking around at night in low to no light areas and expect people in cars to see them. I've come so close to hitting a few of these people. No race specifically either, stupidity isn't prejudice!

I've found that honking and flashing your hi beams usually gets them to move.

Default consider yourself lucky!!

3 weeks ago, I was driving to work on a side/back road and a deer ran towards my ZR and hit it on the passenger front panel/door. I'm convinced that the blue hue of the xenon lights probably attracted it because the cars ahead didn't attract it's attention. The damage was fairly light, mostly cosmetic damage that can be replaced/repaired. I consider myself lucky because as many people don't walk away from a collision with a deer.

I had just purchased the car 3 days before the accident. The car has been in the shop and I will be getting it back tomorrow!!! There was a 2 week delay to bring the car into the shop because they've been busy from new business incurred from a 50-car pile up on the local highway.

It's been extremely painful to be without a convertible during these beautiful spring days.
