Default Car Won't Start

The search is broken so I couldn't do a search.

Today I was trying to take my front bumper off the car.

As I had to get into the wheel well to get the last screws/bolt off the car, I started up the car and turned the wheels so I could have more room. I turned off the car and took off the bolts inside the driver's side wheel well.

I then went to start up the car again so I could turn the wheels in a way so I could have more room on the passenger's side wheel well...

But the car wouldn't start! O.o I put in the key and I cannot move it from the "lock" position. there is no engine noise at all.

So I decided to put back all the bolts and try to start the car again. Same issue, couldn't get the key to go from the "lock" position.

I have noticed that the "alarm light" is always blinking now. And I can't remember if it always blinks or only blink when you lock your car.

Any help would be appreciated. I'm kinda lost on what could be wrong.

Oh, yeah... I also unplug the battery for about 20 minutes to see if that would work, but it didn't >_<;;

Have you tried moving the steering wheel back and forth a little bit, because sometimes the lock gets jammed with the steering wheel. Try to turn the key whilst your shaking the steering wheel.

Dude, you are a godsend, that was it. I moved the steering wheel back and forth while trying to turn the key and it worked!

Man, I had a nightmare vision that my front lip paint money would go towards a nissan machanic to try and fix the problem.

Is this a common problem with nissan? Or 350Z? Or all cars?

Anyways, thanks!!

!
Its common for all cars with steering wheel lock. Usually if the tires are pointed straight there is no problem. Sometime when the tires are turned, it is difficult to start the car without unlocked the steering wheel.
