Just saw the clip...I'm always around that area and I never imagined that something like this could happen around there

Wow! I have driven around 1604 and Culebra a bunch of times! Guess that part of town is getting worse. I just got home from SA yesterday. I'm surpised I didn't see this on the news.

That's effing ridiculous. Kill someone for a car?! When there are 100s of others sitting around with sleeping owners or owners eating a nice dinner?! Definitely not the brightest car thieves...

Glad you made it out alive man. If I lived in any major city I think I'd be contemplating the concealed permit myself. But in this case, I think I would have just took off anyway and not got in a gunfight with 2-3 people.

They didn't think twice to shoot him when he was trying to get away, what makes you thihnk they wouldn't shoot him after they got the car so he couldn't identify them?

I was almost car jacked in downtown Atlanta last year. A guy on the street ran up to my door and tried to open it (locked). I took a quick right hand turn and got away. Lucky for him I wasn't blocked in because he would have gotten .45 cal in the skull.

Maybe this could be the premise for that 350Z television show someone mentioned earlier???? One man and his Z against the carjackers of the world...

Wow glad to hear you're okay. I find it kind of hard (not impossible by any means) to believe that people would try to kill you over a car. Do you think this may not have been random at all and maybe they weren't even after your car? Any bad blood, enemies, etc?

PS: Let us know how the investigation goes... i.e. if they ever catch the guys or not.

Yeah why would you put your life in the hands of a bunch of car thieves? I would have done the same thing the poster did, I just hope I would be able to react quick enough to get outta there safely. Glad to hear a fellow Z owner is OK though

Hmmmm

Young kid, new to the forum, says someone tried to car jack him and shot at him but bullet didnt go thru the window because of window tinting, and the video clip (no audio) he put a link to is corrupted.

How about a scan of the police report
