I also carry a gun [with a permit] but the scarey part about returning fire in a crisis, if don't hit your target, which most people would'nt, and kill an innocent person then YOUR life will be over, at least financially forever. I hope none of you or myself ever get in that situation, glad your OK.

You are a blessed person gum. God was watching out for you. You're so lucky you didn't die. You made the right choice by gunning it and taking off. If you let them have your car they probably would have killed you anyways.

Take this as a rule guys. I know some us here have guns for protection and I think more of us should carry legally. The most important thing to do if someone is about to attack you is to react right away. Don't hesitate. You did the right thing GUM.

That is why you get a concealed handgun license. I carry a kimber classic 1911 45. I have had to pull it out twice. Once for a carload of hispanic want-a-be gangsters who tried to run me off the road in my neon. Second in my honda some UT drunks that almost rearended me at a stop light. I yell at them. Then they ram the **** out of me in there van. Yeah, Texas has alot of A$$holes, just got to be careful you don't get stuck with one.

People are crazy and they will do anything nowadays without any regard for life. Your quick thinking and better judgement saved you. All of this for a car is sickening. I have a concealed weapons permit, and carry to protect myself but getting into a shootout is not something most people ever want to encounter. Luckily I'm trained, US military 10+ years including 3 wars, but the average Joe will only use his weapon as a means of intimidation. Be safe and try your best to avoid those situations.
