Default Escaped a Carjack

Basically title says it all, dont want to go into full details but basically guys tried to carjack me, tried to corner me in with there car, guy got out so i chose to escape and try to run his *** over, they shoot and i get away. Im lucky to be alive, cuz they shot out my drivers side window, windshield and another shooter shot the passenger side of the car. SO for all you Z/G owners, be carefull out there, watch your back cuz thats what i did, somethin didnt feel right.

here a clip cuz it was on the news w/o audio

Holy Crap. Glad to hear you're ok. Nice driving. I'm guessing you never actually got to run any of the bastards over? Shame.

Wow, Glad you are okay! Reason number 431 why I have a Glock-23 under my seat. I think you did the best thing you could of by getting out of there.

Wow people in texas are crazy. I can't believe they literally tried to kill you for a car. Glad to hear you're okay. You're very fortunate. I wouldn't mind getting shot if it meant I can sue them for all they've got their entire lives. Did they catch the shooters?

At least you're alive bro. Not sure what's the best to do something in that type of situation. They obviously weren't afraid to use their weapons. Sounds like a lose-lose situation.

well you're lucky.

on the one hand its easy to say that it was a bad idea to try to run, much less try to be on the offensive when you have car insurance that would cover the loss. on the other hand, they might have planned on not leaving whitnesses anyway.

WOW! If I wasn't sure that stuff that happens to 3250Z drivers was real, I would swear that this was a television show.

I'd rather just try to bolt out of there (like the OP did) rather than try to pull a gun. I'd be more scared that in the time it takes you to pull a gun, you will have been shot already. At least it's harder to hit a moving target than a guy reaching for a weapon.

But I think this is a good lesson... I always watch my back too. My dad was car-jacked in Los Angeles... if anyone suspicious approaches me when I'm sitting in my car, I'll lock the doors, start the engine, turn off VDC and put it in first gear ready to roll.

i am glad to see that things turned out well for you, you're fortunate those bullets missed, but again, for all you know, they might have planned on not having any whitnesses anyway.

He did the right thing, You don't know if they are going to kill you anyways or not. He had the opportunity to run and he took it rightfully so. That being said, The skin of a car is far from bulletproof, a .22 can go clean through both doors if it doesnt hit a support beam.
