Ok, here is the setup.
Ex wife stepped out with one of my friends oh about 6 years ago, so out she went.
Two years ago I get my Z. She has seen it but not ridden in it.
Last year, I get married again to someone both younger than her, better looking, and who is thinner than her. (That always gets the ex ticked!)
Last week I had to have a chat with her about the loser boyfriend she is seeing because I have primary custody of my two kids and they don't like him.
I tell her to get in the car, and she is so happy to get a ride finally. Once she gets in she realizes that we are about to have a chat, so we are driving down the main drag here in Winnipeg about 10 at night.
She is quiet, looking out the window, tinted of course, and she says "Do you know that everyone looks at your car?"
"Yup", I reply, "kind of like how people used to look at my wife years ago when she wasn't used."
She didn't say a word after that and took my lecture without saying a word.
Priceless.

Younger, lighter, blonder, better income, and came with morals.
I married well the second time.
As for the earlier comment about her being around the block. Hey, once I kicked her out, she became a revolving door. Made me laugh because it was a desparate call for help that she keeps denying.
Now back to the car theme.....I know it burned her when I got this car because my career took off when I got rid of her as well. She never worked but liked to spend.
Total win on my part.

First day I had my car, driving down 95 in Philly (traffic, so it was slow) and another kid in a Z pulls up and and rolls his window down. He said "wow man, you're Z looks great! How do you keep it so clean?" I said I just bought it that way, haha.

Holy @#$#, I thought I was the only one doing that. Most of the time, I just focused on driving not looking for looks which probaly some think I'm a stuck up- lol. At gas stations, when I'm pumping gas I would see some guys staring at my car, usually I just stare at the gas pump meter, or stare at my phones. When someone gives compliments I usually say it's my brother's. My car is nicknamed, "Bumblebee," by my neighbor's kid who says it when I pass by, I believe he got the name from the Transformers movie. I guess that kid at his age is car blind, not color blind.

me too but i hate when my neighbors are outside because I don't wanna stare at it in front of them so I just push the lock button and walk away without lookin back

It’s true it is a sexy car. Every time I go somewhere and walk away I always look back at her. Ex g/f would get jealous every time I did that, I can't help it she looks so beautiful who wouldnt want to stare?

just reading your posts just make me wanna go out for a drive so more people could stare lol. but then when they do stare i try to hide or pretend like i don't notice them staring or talking about the car. it's like I enjoy the attention but i hate getting too much of it.
Overheard some little 6-10 year old kid asking his dad if my car was a Ferrarri. hah.
could dive into all sorts of meaningless stories, it's impresive how much attention a cheap 350z can acquire.

This kid came came up to me at the mall yesterday and asked me if my car was stock.. i told him yeah except for exhaust.. he says man that stock turbo sounds mean i just laughed said thanks and walked away hahah... WOW what an idiot!!!!!!!!!!

Couldn't agree with you more on that. I had a BMW 318i (1996) as my second car and when you're in college with a BMW...you get looks, stares, and compliments. It wasn't a top of the line Bimmer, but it was nice and I kept her clean. The girl I dated through college told me she was only interested at first cause she heard I had a BMW from other girls on the soccer team. *****
