no amount of quality paint would prevent that from happening

just get the fender resprayed

i daily drive my car, and just have the bonnet and bumper resprayed whenever it starts to look bad.

I dont see the point of clear bra. It isnt that much cheaper than a bumper respray, and it still looks **** when its pitted with chips, not to mention those ugly end lines and orange peel finish. So you remove the clear bra after its been peppered with stones smiling that theres only minimal marks on the bumper/bonnt, but then spend another several hundred refitting it - you could have used that cash to respray the bumper instead

I think all of us feel your pain. My wife's windshield received a major crack from a passing eighteen wheeler - She was major league pissed... So was I, simply because it happend to our new Jeep.

I was just reading the May issue of Road&Track. They have a Ruf Porshe that's a wierd aqua greenish color that i don't care for much. My point is that the entire paint job IS JUST A DECAL. If you peel off the green, the car is actually black.

So yes, I imagine you could find someone to clear bra your entire car if you wanted. Why not change the color why you're at it?

Ive heard from body shops that Nissan/Toyota use very cheap paint techniques.
