I placed my order on Oct. 12, 2002 with the dealership (Don Davis, Arlington, TX)

The dealership placed my order with Nissan on Nov. 2, 2002

The car was suppose to be here Feb. 13, 2003 but it arrived on Jan. 29, 2003. I went last night to pick it up.

PPW touring w/ char. leather interior 6 speed and every option.

I have been out driving it all day! This is my first manual transmission, but it didn't take long for me to catch on!

I LOVE MY Z!

Two weeks later today, I still look at it like I can't believe is mine... Now I can't wait till morning so I can go to work, and drive my Z!

Two weeks : 1785 Miles! 1 ding (rock on hwy), 1 wash and Zaino...

 

Congrats!! Mine came in early also, by about 2 weeks.

I ordered mine around mid November, dealer placed order early December and instead of scheduled Feb delivery date I took delivery Jan 21.

and WOW - you learned to drive a manual in the Z????
Holy cow - that is pretty impressive. I thought sports cars like the Z with hydraulic clutches would be about the most difficult to learn on. (Just punch it when you have to stop on a hill! hehe)

We have an '03 corvette coupe 6 speed that I have driven a few times (mostly highway on long trips), but my Z is the first 6 speed that I have just sat down in and drove alone. It is much easier to drive than the vette. The clutch is softer. I worked on hills tonight. My driveway is very steep. I went about 100 miles (distance) today and only stalled 3 times. I was pretty impressed with myself.

I can't wait to drive her tomorrow!

I couldn't believe how many people stop and stare!

How did you get yours so soon? They must have gotten a different one in or got one from a different dealership. If it went in in December then it was built in January and you shouldn't get it till at least mid February at the earliest.

 

That is a distinct possbility. My order was actually screwed up, I did not get the frost, got charcoal and no side airbags. (disappointed, but it all dissolves when you drive her) So, yes, I have thought about this being a different car than what was ordered, however, the broker had a NNA order number in my file. (I used a car broker).

It came in with 6 miles on it, so I figured it was new, got a new look on the charcoal and will try to live without the side airbags. I took the car and wrote it off. In reality it may not have been my order, but there is documentation for my order. I have not checked the VIN numbers since that is water under the bridge. We understand there was a communication failure (my own for not double checking the order with NNA) and I will be compensated, so if you want to look at it I got her for under MSRP.

The details:
Order placed with the broker around mid-Nov, I forget exactly when.
Was told order placed with NNA from dealer first of Dec.
Waited... Waited and Waited...
Called Jan 20, told car was in.
I checked the build sticker on the door of the car - says "12/02"

My order was placed in November with NNA. I checked my VIN and it matches.

Great pics. Looked before, didn't comment, sorry. I almost bought the white, but the redline had the aero kit and I wanted that...

no need for attention, just found it odd that no one commented on the pics. So many people were asking for pics of PPW I thought for sure someone would comment. My Z has the areo kit, but the spoiler was defective so they are replacing it this weekend.
