Default Cops Rolling People For Test/down Pipes

Have any of you guys heard of the cops checking under the car for test/down pipes? one of my friends got pulled over in his STI and said they shined a mirror under his car to check for it. do u think this was just an ******* cop or are now really enforcing it?

i think they are really enforcing it. when i got pulled over in my old STi when all i had was a cat-back with no resonator, the officer though something was wrong with my car. but he was cool and all i ened up with was a fix it ticket. the easiest $10 ever.

as a mtter of fact, my buddu was downtown one night and he got pulled over for having a license plate light out. but some cops that were on bikes...pedal bikes. once he started his car to leave after they told him about his light, they stopped him cause his car was way to crazy. next thing you know he is off to the ref for a fix-it ticket.

Unfortunately, no. You will still get tagged for putting it on your windshield.

Most of the Cats are legal.. at least kinetix and crawford. you all need to carry the prinouts of your cats's and exhaust's decibel specs and carry them in your car. Printouts should include pics, contact info/ website of the brand item. Most exhaust are rated at 95 db, which is the legal limit.

You still need a CARB # regardless if it passes the db level & chances are none of the aftermarkets have one. It's stated that it is illegal to replace your OEM cats with ANY aftermarket cats unless it is CARB approved. Now the only exception to this is if the OEM cats are no longer made but the chances in that happening is very unlikely.
