Unhappy 350z HID installing question battery source

im considering buying a HID kit for my 350z, but i want to know abit more about the installation.
i had a look a visionbulbs' installing guide and i was wondering why you need to hook up wires to the battery ?(look at 5 in the pic) isn't the kit plug and play ? what does the original power source do then? i would have thought it powered the entire system. how would i go abouts linking the wire to the battery ? do i need to start splicing wires ?

any help would be great

*edit* i had a look at a member's installing guide. he didn't seem to have hooked up any wires to the battery... ??

well, usually with a plug n play HID KIT you dont need to install any wires to the battery, just buy another kit, this one seems to be more trouble than its worth. When i installed my HID's took me about 30 mins each side....

i got mine last summer from superhid.com.... shipped overnite.
Make sure you find a suitable spot to adhere the ballast and igniter..they are plug and play. i've seen some newer generation hid kits from japan come only with the ballast with built-in igniters. I got the 5200 kelvin bulbs and they work beautifully..

I got the purevision kit, and man does it look great, and man was it easy to install! the whole install would have taken less than 2 hours had i not done two projects at once! find the purevision kit (which has no seperate ignitor, just ballasts and bulbs) and i'll gladly walk you thru it on the phone or over the net.

just buy a kit from JUN on here? do some research, they say anything over 5300Kelvin is just color change and actually light output lessens. i would get a 4300 to 5500 k kit, or pm JUN who sells em on here, they are plug and play w/o all the bs of these kits your looking at. hope that helps ya.

don't buy generic crappy HID kits. the WILL break within 1-2 yrs, I've experienced it first hand. either PM a member named Jun who can get OEM HID kits or talk to some guys on the HID forums about which kits they recommend.
