Default Received Official Recall Notice from Nissan in the Mail Today

Well you can't say Nissan didn't tell you now. I just got it in the mail. Too bad I already did the recall. =)

You guys that are holding out will have little to back you up if your car blows up.

I suggest everyone get it done! I don't like Nissan Service though!

i'm taking my chances with my car catching on fire....like hell i'm letting any of their monkeys do *that* particular job. Hell, i've received after a half-dozen FAKE service orders (which I've documented and can prove they were fake - i.e., work was never done - yet ICA basically tells me to **** off) so who knows if they will actually do it and not just fake it.

me too, I've been meaning to schedule an appointment for awhile now for some other stuff, but they can just add the recall to the list.

I'm torn, i could either take my car to the nissan dealer that is like 1.5mi away from me which i've never used but is very convinent, or take it to where i bought the car thats like 40+mi away and a general PITA to get to, but they have really good service.

Read the letter. It says the recall is VOLUNTARY.

Fuel Hose Recall.

The Recall comes in a folding big postcard with a bright red bar in the middle saying important safety recall notice.

I have re read the notice and nowhere on the card does it say voluntary.

That's what it said on mine. I have since thrown it away, though, so I can't confirm it. I recall it being within the first couple lines of text on the recall card itself. Said something like "voluntary recall campaign" or some such thing. At any rate, I'm not letting them tear into my car like that anytime soon.

voluntary recall campaign=Nissan offering to provide this service not mandated by the government, does not mean you are obligated to have it done thats your decision. It releases libility from NNA as a manufacturer if you purchased ur Z used from non-nissan dlr or private party NNA would not even have you listed as current owner and u would not receive this notice.
