Default Stronger Hatch Shocks - GB Feeler

I'm tired of holder my trunk with my head. I know Nismo makes stronger hatch shocks, but they're like $250 for a set. Maybe I can hit up a vendor for a cheaper price, if we get a ton of people.. anybody interested?

The 06 comes with em. My dealer gave em to me under warranty in a roundabout way.

I'm not sure it'll be strong enough to hold aftermarket wings, though. anybody wanna chime in?

My 03 touring hatch shocks are pretty strong, don't need to hold it up, but then again, I don't have a huge *** wing.

also try removing the weight under the hatch but you have to remove the plastic pieces to get to it.

I've removed it, right after the wing install.. it didn't do jack. I think it weighs only 2 lbs or so.

I have only have the problem when the weather is cold. When it's cold the rear hatch never stays up by itself. It always slams shut. But when the weather is nice and warm I have no problems. And I have the Data Systems wing which is a very light wing. You guys think a should get my shocks replaced under warranty...?

Beacuse you have an aftermarket wing, I doubt the dealer would replace the shocks under warranty.

I have the DS wing also. It is light, but I can tell the shocks are close to maxed out keeping the hatch in the raised position.

Wow $250 sounds expensive for shocks. Can't you just go to an auto supply shop and look for aftermarket ones? I replaced the shocks on my friends Grand Cherokee trunk hatch and found some pretty strong aftermarket shocks for less than $25 each. They come in a bunch of generic sizes (I think the brand was Strong Arm or somthing).

mine were replaced under warranty, i couldn't swear it, but they look slightly beefier than the original ones.
