Default Maintenance schedules

My Z has 3,650 miles and needs an oil change Saturday.

Yes I read the owners manual and I'm still confused.

There are 3 different types of service schedules one can use, depending on ones driving style.

None of the 3 seem to fall under how I'm currently driving my Z, which is on the weekends only, at least for now.

One of the service schedules checks pretty much everything under the hood and then some while another only requires having the oil changed for the first several scheduled services and a third falls someplace in between those two, as to how many things they do and check.

Will using one or the other schedules void the warranty?

Also can I get my oil changed and those items checked out at any drive thru oil place or does that void the warranty unless the dealer does it? I think I can have it done at any licensed service shop, as long as it's documented with the date and milage and a reciept?

I believe that the schedules are written for all Nissan vehicles. The schedule which is suitable for the Sentra may not be appropriate for the 350Z. All 3 schedules meet warranty requirements.

Who can do the services is explained in you warranty: Nissan, an independent shop or do-it-yourself.

Make sure you pay only for what you get. For instance, the schedule has tire rotation included in some of them, but we don't rotate our tires.
