Default Recall on Convertible Top?

My Service Manager found a .25 inch tear in my 2004 Z's top and ordered a new top for me. He said there is a recall.

Does anyone know about this recall?

Is the 2006 top very different from the 2004? (ie., different fabric or look?)

Jim

There is no recall. I believe he meant service bulletin.

Read in the roadster section, there is plenty of info on this. I had mine replaced last week.

No recall. I am on top #4 now. I'd advise you to keep an eye on the two rear corners of the top, as they still haven't figured out how to fix the problem. Remember, even if your warranty on the car is expired, you still have 12 mo/12K miles of warranty on the top from the day they replaced the top.

I use the Aerospace protectant. Search the roadster forums, there is a lot of info there.
