Default Car keyed--mods could you leave this up for a little?

So my car got keyed last night from about mid door handle to under my drivers side mirror. I was wondering if waxing it is a good idea to help prevent rusting? any ideas appreciated.

I will up load pics soon it's not horrible but from the door handle to about 2-3 inches to the mirror it's deep, the rest may be buffed out i think.

Help a brotha out please

get some touch up paint until you can get it fixed.
ive seen and used these ones that have a ball point tip on one end and a brush it worked pretty well. it looks to be down to the primer. good luck and
sorry to see that happen.

First thing I would do is take a little bit of rubbing compound and see how much of it will come out. Those pix don't indicate that they got below the primer, so you should be okay.

You can have the buffed out. Maybe not perfect, but it won't look so bad. Drop by a detail shop or a friendly body shop and see if they could buff that out for you.

Vandalism such as your car (and mine above) should be taken to a pro. You would be surprised want can be done short of a repaint. This is no time for a do-it-yourself fix.

I suppose that you could ask a psychiatrist but...

Vandals have a poor self image and attempt to bolster that image but vandalizing other’s property. Generally they do not pick a target. Targets are random based on circumstances.

Yup, vandals suck. The hardest part about owning something of quality is keeping others from taking out their poor self-estemn or jealousy issues on it. Unless I know exactly where my car is going to be parked, the truck is my vehicle of choice. It is a shame that we invest soo much into or vehicles only to have the amount of time we are able to enjoy them restrained by punks like that.

That sucks!

When my '91 300ZXTT got keyed, I took it immediately to a body shop and had the panels fixed. Couldn't bear to see the damage day in and day out... woulda made me crazy!

Get it fixed asap and put it behind you... that'd be my advice.
