This weekend was my 4th with my new found love and as I have done for the past 3 weekends I cared for and gave her all of her required needs, a wash, vaccum, wheel buffing and so on.....

So Sunday rolls around and after receiving my d-papers(divorce) on Friday night I thought I would go for an extended drive. Now, I park on the right side of the garage and my soon to be ex parks on the left side, now before everybody starts flaming me in regards to why in the hell we still live together you can start another thread, So I carefully back out of the garage as I have for the past 4 weeks without incident and park the car in the driveway as I run in to get a water for my drive. While I am inside the ex ask if i would like to stay home and watch a movie, again don't ask, I say no and head back to my new love, I sit in the drive for a moment and reconsider the things the ex can give that my Z can't, so after much heartache i begin to pull back into the garage.

Here begins the nightmare, I wish I could explain how I did it but I went into shock and don't remember, someone please wake me, this can't be real....................I should have went for the damn drive....

Displaced anger onto your wife's property as a result of the divorce. Not even your Z was safe; merely a tool of destruction for the cause.

now this makes me feel soooo much better but your right...i f-ed it up and no matter what it will never be what it was, fortunatly the place i am taking it to works on like bently's and sh^t so if everything is replaced and not repaired i think you could never be able to tell by looking at it....and thank God it did not affect any of the driving characteristics of the car.....

i could hook you up if i lived closer, I am a body tech, that's what i do for a living and i can tell you that your fender is an easy fix and so is your bumper. New parts are better though just make sure they go with OEM parts and not aftermarket because the quality and fit is just plain $hit.

she is hot, thats why i did not go for the drive, fuq......and in retrospect it was not worth it, now i am miserable until i get it fixed, going to see the adjuster today and I am fully aware of the embarassment by driving this Z with a fuqed up front end.....

I had the shop do the estimate with OEM parts....wish you were closer also...the estimate is $1588.00, i would rather give a friend like a $1000.00 cash than to have to claim it on insurance

If you claim insurance "fraud" its called comprehensive and will not count as points against you. Trust me with 2 f-ing hit and runs on my car within 2 months. Actually my insurnace went down again when the new year started. And F the "the car will never be the same". that **** is minor, you just need a perfect body shop. You'll eventually get over it...especially when u get a new front bumper

I know how you feel. Some idiot in a SUV hit my rear passenger fender and didn't leave a note! $1850.00 later, everything was all better. $1200 and 3 days doen't sound unreasonable. Most of that is probably labor. Just make sure to go some place you trust. I called the Nissan dealership I bought the car from and asked them who they would recommend.
