Default How Could I Have Done This

Okay...for the past couple of weeks I have seen alot of pictures and read alot stories of some very unfortunate events happening to our most prestine vehicles. I felt so bad for all of those who had to face and experience these most sickening moments ie: Z falling off the lift, scraping a curb, grocery cart into the door and so on.....

This weekend was my 4th with my new found love and as I have done for the past 3 weekends I cared for and gave her all of her required needs, a wash, vaccum, wheel buffing and so on.....

So Sunday rolls around and after receiving my d-papers(divorce) on Friday night I thought I would go for an extended drive. Now, I park on the right side of the garage and my soon to be ex parks on the left side, now before everybody starts flaming me in regards to why in the hell we still live together you can start another thread, So I carefully back out of the garage as I have for the past 4 weeks without incident and park the car in the driveway as I run in to get a water for my drive. While I am inside the ex ask if i would like to stay home and watch a movie, again don't ask, I say no and head back to my new love, I sit in the drive for a moment and reconsider the things the ex can give that my Z can't, so after much heartache i begin to pull back into the garage.

Here begins the nightmare, I wish I could explain how I did it but I went into shock and don't remember, someone please wake me, this can't be real....................I should have went for the damn drive....

a. Your wife is leaving you
b. You need a new fender and bumper

But besides that everything is going OK?

i know....i kinda angle in when I park so I can get out of the vehicle easier, so i stick the nose in to the right near the wall then pull back left a lil bit, it's always a smooth thing....

so today I drove the ex's Altima to work, she is off today and I just could not bear the agony......the shop said about $1200.00 and three days to fix it....does that sound right ??? has anybody done alot of bodywork on these??? I mean now that I can see behind the bumper clip would it be that difficult to replace the fender and clip ??

I thought it was just me. I haven't scraped anything yet but for some reason I had a hard time locating the edges of the Z when I first got it. I had a couple of close calls.

and let me say this, it did not take alot to create that much damage....these cars are truly "race designed"....you even kiss anything and it's going to leave a mark.....

Was about to ask the same thing after reading the "...things the ex can give that my Z can't" line. Sorry 'bout the car, man; it'll be fixed up good as new in no time, though.

Hey, I know how you feel. I was rear ended by some old guy in an Olds tank the DAY I bought my Z on my way home. And I don't have to ask your long story; from the way you describe things, I've been there, man.

This is true because -

A> You wouldn't have soiled your beautiful car
B> If *your wife* is *leaving you* you should have suggested a better place for her to place the movie than the DVD player.

Aside from that -

Opportunity knocks my friend - Answer! Find yourself an aftermarket bumper that you like and roll with that instead of stock. Drive it with the damage in place till you get your new bumper, then have it all done.

I know how you feel..I never park next to a curb, and the second week in I curbed her coming out. Goddamnit. Oh well, dont worry, she'll be fixed. You can't fix women, however.

Good luck
