Default Can I get leather seats

in the enthusiast package? Or do they only come with the touring model? Also, i have heard the bose system is no bueno? If so, what is so bad about it and where do they have the 10" sub? also, can the navigation system come in a enthusiast?

Leather in touring and grand touring models only.

I really can't speak for the Z's Bose system, but the one in my '03 Maxima is what steered me away from it in the Z. In fact, knowing I was just going to yank the system and replace it is the reason I chose the track over the gt. I do wish I could have got leather without the Bose, but the replacement covers made by leatherseats.com got good enough reviews around here for me to feel OK with replacing my cloth with them.

Don't know about the nav, I never even considered it since I could do much better than Nissan for the $1800 they want for theirs.

The Bose system has the sub behind the driver's seat. Its in the same area where the glove box is located, just on the opposite side

In the Enthusiast version (probably all versions) if you take off the panel behind the driver's seat there is a hole there all ready to hold a sub-woofer should you install one.

Rumor has it you can actually order leather in any trim Z. I saw a guy with a track Z at a car show that had factory leather in it. He special ordered it.

I on the other hand, had leather added to my Performance model after the car arrived. It comes from Classic Soft Trim, the official provider of after-market leather for all Nissan cars. I saved a few $$$ and bypassed the dealer and went straight to a local installer. It's the exact same thing that you'd get through the dealer, same warranty, etc.

Well, here's some links to threads with feedback:

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....atherseats.com

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....atherseats.com

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....atherseats.com

..and this one, with one guy in it not so happy, but note that they have offered to replace for free, he just hasn't taken them up on it. IIRC, it's 3 year warranty on them, but I'm not positive:
https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....atherseats.com

A few threads I linked mention Katzkin and Custom Leathers too as sources to look into. I can't actually give you first hand on any of them atm since I've yet to do this. This was going to be the first or second thing I did to the car, but since taking delivery of the car I've found that as far as cloth goes the seat covers are pretty nice and I can deal with them for the time being while I spend money on other mods. Sound system is coming together right now and then a few more N/A mods are on the list, and suspension may get priority over seats after that. Heh, sooner or later though.

edit to add: DavesZ#3 has a good tip I think. I actually like the oem perforated covers so I may look at that when the time comes too. Most of the custom guys offer different textures, perforated, etc, but I have seen the oem's first hand, not theirs so I would be inclined to look for oem I think.

Also wanted to add, the downside of doing covers to oem cloths means only manual seat controls. I don't get that one Nissan, but it's still not that big of a deal for me, might be to others though.

That space isn't sealed and is too small anyway to house a real subwoofer. Do a search, there is a pic of the bose sub somewhere here. The thing is a real crappy infinite baffle (free air) platter with like 2 inches of mounting depth due to lack of real voice coil or magnet. One or two guys have fiberglassed in the space to seal it and mounted and 8" or real low volume 10" in there, but nobody really got good results in there. The best results using that space for a sub is to just throw a self-enclosed Ininity bass-link in it. That space is better suited to hold amps with a sub-box in the hatch. People that don't want to do an under strut-bar box or use the space between it and the seats have built fiberglass corner boxes to save space or removed the spare tire and used the well to house a sub.

what would a good color combo for a PPW? I've been looking to get leather put into mine too...I've checked out prices at Texas Auto Trim and Classic, and they're both about the same price installed. I work at a dealership and we go thru mostly Classic Soft Trim for leather, and don't really like the look and feel of the leather. They're too soft and too plastic looking...I want the leather to be firm (not soft) and I want to see the wrinkles of leather...Maybe they have different trims of leather...
